In the brushing school, children from the age of six learn in a playful way why brushing teeth is important and how they can best keep their teeth clean. Our specially trained dental hygienists take a lot of time for the little patients, explain everything calmly and then practise together with your child. The cleaning school in Zell am Harmersbach is open to children and teenagers aged between six and 18 once every six months. There are special tips for children with fixed braces so that all teeth can be cleaned thoroughly despite braces. We also explain which foods, drinks and eating habits can lead to dental problems and how to eat a tooth-friendly diet.

Cleaning - with the right technique!
Children can learn to brush their teeth between the ages of three and six. However, parents have to brush after them, as children do not yet have the motor skills to brush purposefully. From around the age of six, children can brush more and more independently. In the brushing school at our practice, we look at how children clean their teeth themselves. Afterwards, staining tablets make visible where plaque remains. This makes it easy to see where brushing needs to be done more thoroughly. We give tips on the correct technique and explain to older children how to clean the spaces between their teeth with dental floss and brushes.
